Hershey PA, The Sweetest Place on Earth

Yes it really says that one the sign on the way into Hershey. I thought Steve was making that up when he mentioned it in his email inviting us to visit his folks while our ward was there for a ward trip.

Steve took us on a brief tour of the city and showed us the 'important' parts such as

the Hershey Kiss shaped light posts:

The Main Hershey Chocolate factory:

The Crossing of Cocoa and Chocolate

After the short tour we eventually made our way to Chocolate World and took advantage of the free tour. I love the singing cows...

On the tour

Mel and the Singing Cows...

After the tour...we had to make the hard decision of what kind chocolate we wanted

This is what Brian decided he wanted...a 5lb chocolate bar.

Yummy!

Due to schedules and unexpected events we weren't able to have our Annual Gingerbread house making contest before Christmas, so to make up for that we made Gingerbread houses for FHE yesterday. Breaking up into teams, this is what we came up with.

Welcome 2009!

This year has flown! I'm excited for the New Year. It's going to be a great year. A lot of changes will happen this next year. My baby sister will leave for her mission. Cameron and Elisabeth will probably be moving, hopefully some where closer :) And who knows what else, but it will be a great year.

Here are some photographic high-lights of 2008 as we say goodbye...
